‘The Incredibles 3D’ and ‘Ratatouille 3D’ in the works from Pixar
Pixar films are already a success and the studio has also had great box office turnouts for their 3D re-releases of Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., and Finding Nemo. Pixar seems to be primed to have two more of their films set for a 3D re-release.
According to Screen Daily, Pixar is currently working on 3D versions of Brad Bird‘s The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
Talking about The Incredibles, Pixar’s director of 3D production Josh Hollander said, “It’s been an interesting challenge to work on technology because – while the film was released 10 years ago – the technology is even older as it took four years to make.”
“We have a version of Ratatouille, which works really well in 3D and we’re trying to figure out exactly what the release strategy for that will be,” he told delegates at the 3D Creative Summit in London.
There’s no release information for either film, but it wouldn’t be the worst idea, nor a big surprise, to see one of these films open in 2014.
Inside Out, their next picture wfas pushed back to 2015, joining The Good Dinosaur next year.
The Good Dinosaur opens on November 25, 2015.
