‘The Hobbit There and Back Again’ moved to back to December 2014
The third part of the Hobbit trilogy, The Hobbit: There And Back Again, has been pushed back by a few months and will now arrive in cinemas in December 2014.
The film had previously been slated to arrive on July 18, 2014, but has been moved back to cash in on the Christmas traffic, taking it out of competition with big hitters such as Guardians Of The Galaxy and X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
It also means that the three parts of the story will be arriving at yearly intervals, with The Desolation Of Smaug scheduled to open December 13, 2013.
Directed by Peter Jackson and co-starring Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen and Richard Armitage, The Hobbit: There And Back Again will now open in theaters on December 17, 2014.
Minions and Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland are expected to open that weekend. Will Gluck’s Annie remake and Shawn Levy’s Night at the Museum 3 are expected to open Christmas Day 2014.
