‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Rick Cosnett, Tom Cavanagh, Killer Frost, metahumans
In the wake of the exciting and shocking season 1 finale of The Flash, Andrew Kreisberg answered questions, dodged others on the future of stars from season 1: Rick Cosnett, Tom Cavanagh, Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes, just for starters.
“On Flash, you’ve never seen the last of anybody, no matter what happens to them,” Kreisberg says to EW of Reverse Flash returning, but speaks volumes for other characters. “Tom Cavanagh will continue to be a regular on Flash is all I am prepared to say.”
The interview is jammed packed full of spoilers, so check it out for yourself. One of the Easter Eggs was Barry’s run in the Speed Force revealing Caitlin (Panabaker) as Killer Frost and Kreisberg talks about that and how Cisco may be a metahuman impacts the show.
“Yeah, now that people have seen the finale, there were some things we’re letting happen faster than people are expecting and there are other things we’re slow playing. That’s the fun for us as writers, but hopefully for the audience too, that especially with characters like Caitlin and Cisco, there is a certain level of expectation after we very specifically gave them the names we gave them and how that’s going to turn out,” he tells EW.
“You’ve got Wells telling Cisco that he was affected, but when we saw in the speed force, we saw Caitlin really and truly affected. Whether that happens next year or the year after that, we’ll have to wait and see what the speed force tells us to do.”
Moreoever: “…For Cisco, he’s spent an entire year fighting against metahumans, and now to discover that he might possibly be one himself is certainly going to have a big impact on his character moving forward.”
The show’s spin-off is called Legends of Tomorrow and will feature Firestorm (Robbie Amell), who made a huge decision in the finale as well or is he…Kreisberg offers: “This is me saying no comment.”
