‘The Flash’ season 2: Adam Stafford cast as Geomancer
The CW’s The Flash continues to be a big success and the second half of season two will add yet another villain: Geomancer. Adam Stafford has now been cast in the role of Adam Fells, also known as the DC Comics villain, for the forthcoming thirteenth and fourteenth episodes of The Flash‘s second season, ComicBook.com has confirmed exclusively with the studio.
“In the comics, Geomancer is foe of the Justice Society’s, co-created by DC Chief Creative Officer and The Flash executive producer Geoff Johns. Adam Fells was a big fish in a small pond until he joined up with the Injustice Society and bad things started to befall him, building to his death. A successor came along, taking up the name and costume, but didn’t make many appearances before the New 52 reboot,” the site details.
In the TV series, Geomancer is described as “a dangerous meta-human with the unique ability to create earthquakes. Intent on destroying the Flash, Geomancer uses his powers to unleash a string of targeted earthquakes, optimistic that he’ll draw out the Flash for a mano-a-mano fight to see who’s the most powerful metahuman in Central City.”
Now word on whether the character will be an Earth-2 villain, sent here to battle Barry Allen (Grant Gustin)/Flash or if he’ll be a meta-human from the current Earth.
The Flash returns on January 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. Geomancer’s episodes will show up a few weeks later.

The popular show has already been renewed by the network for a third season (as were season 5 & 6 of Arrow) ahead of the next superhero drama, Legends of Tomorrow, coming in 2016.
“I think Greg is taking it more to the drama in the first half of the season,” Marc Guggenheim said of season 3. “But I can say that it’s going to be amazing and more of the action in the next half. For now I think The Flash is taking it more to drama because in Season 3 it will have a lot of action and new powers.”
