‘The Flash’ preview: Liam McIntyre, Peyton List, Mark Hamill as ‘Villains’ arrive

The CW released a new poster and trailer for the second half of the first season of The Flash which highlights the introduction of new villains: Liam McIntyre as Weather Wizard, Peyton List as Golden Glider and Mark Hamill’s Trickster.

The new promotional poster has arrived online and gives fans a cool, full body look at The Flash which will be back next week.

Hamill played the Trickster in the 1990 Flash TV series and his character has been running around as the Trickster in the 1990s — just in a world prior to the Flash’s arrival — and eventually caught and incarcerated. A young copycat played by Devon Graye takes up the criminal’s brightly colored mantle, but it’s clear the original Trickster still has plans of his own.

The teaser refers to stills from the 90’s Flash TV show, which is a nice tie-in for fans. Below is the full announcement linked to this episode (17 in the season)

The Flash also stars Jesse L Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes, Rick Cosnett, Tom Cavanagh, Candice Patton and John Wesley Shipp.

Tune into the CW on March 17 for the return of The Flash.

The CW did confirm May 19 as the night of the season one finale.

MARK HAMILL (“STAR WARS”) REPRISES HIS ROLE AS THE TRICKSTER — A copycatkiller who goes by the name “The Trickster” (guest star Devon Graye) starts setting off bombs inCentral City.  In order to stop the villain, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) meet withthe original Trickster, a criminal mastermind named James Jesse (guest star Mark Hamill), who hasbeen imprisoned for 20 years.  Things quickly go from bad to worse when the Tricksters unite andtake  Henry (John Wesley Shipp) prisoner.   Meanwhile,  Iris  (Candice Patton) asks  Eddie  (RickCosnett) for help with a case, and flashbacks show how Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) came upwith the idea for the particle accelerator.  Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by AndrewKreisberg.
