The Best Movies and TV Shows Heading to Netflix in September

The summer is sadly a thing of the past as the fall is clearly upon us. It’s time to accept the fall weather which can be windy and changeable at times, and get ready to curl up in front of the tablet, computer or TV to watch some firm favorites.

If movies aren’t your thing, then perhaps you’ll be gearing up to spend those chilly evenings getting into a nice binge watching session on some of the great TV shows that are out there. It is often said we are now in a golden age when it comes to serialized television, so there is never a shortage of things to get hooked on!

Of course, the choices for which channel to watch have changed in recent years with the advent of streaming media and other options from the likes of Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and Hulu which can deliver the latest TV shows and a good collection of Hollywood movies to your living room for some relaxed enjoyment. No overpriced box of popcorn or expensive soda is necessary to enjoy some of your favorites. All you need is a subscription with your favorite streaming media provider.

Keep reading for a list of the best movies and TV shows to be heading to Netflix this September.

Are You Scared of Zombies?

This might seem like a strange question but what with the spate of Zombie-themed TV shows like Z Nation and other favorites, it begs the question whether you’re as scared of zombies as you were of the dark when you were a little one? The ever popular The Walking Dead is returning for its fifth season to scare the dickens out of everyone who watches the show! Most of the regular cast are back for another season – except for the ones who didn’t survive– and there are sure to be more thrills and blood spills to come.

Want Some 80s Tough Man Action?

Just when you thought Stallone wasn’t untouchable anymore, he is back with his trio of Rambo action movies to raise up the body count some more. Check out the classic First Blood, First Blood Part II and Rambo 3: Ultimate Edition this September.

Going Bat-crazy? Try Gotham

The latest reinvention of the Batman storyline comes in the guise of Gotham, a New York based retelling of the Batman universe from the perspective of a young Bruce Wayne and Commissioner Gordon. This darkly delicious tale is replete with some of our most favorite DC characters like the Joker and a new female nemesis that is sure to set tongues wagging.

Detective Show Longmire Returns

The fourth season of the perennially interesting Longmire premieres on Netflix exclusively starting on September 10. Featuring a detective who doesn’t really care what other people think, life down on the reservation is likely to continue to be interesting as actress Ally Walker joins this latest season.

Classics Get Remastered

The David Lean classic, Lawrence of Arabia, has been digital remastered and is available on Netflix now. See Peter O’Toole and the rest of the posse in this classic tale.

Can You Access Netflix Easily?

You can run Netflix throughout your home on any of your computers, tablets or smartphones, or even through your favorite games console (if supported), so there are no problems when it comes to picking up these great shows and movies at home, even if your family can’t agree on what to watch! On the go, you can also take whatever you are watching with you on your laptop, or watch it on your phone, iPad or other tablet.

If you’re traveling abroad this fall, you may be wondering how to get American Netflix without issue.  As you likely know, when traveling abroad, be it on vacation or on a work placement, it can be difficult to access Netflix, which is bad news considering how many great shows and movies are available to subscribers. One option is a Smart DNS Proxy. This is different from a Virtual Private Network account because it intelligently re-routes traffic and geographical location requests to the USA. This ensures that whilst regular internet traffic will continue to travel over the normal internet lines, Netflix related traffic will travel via a Smart DNS Proxy to avoid any blocks on the access.

With a proxy set up you should have no issues at all.  Which of the above shows and movies are you most excited to see?
