Texas: Siddhesh Samant identified as man who drowned in Grapevine Lake
The man who drowned in Grapevine Lake in Texas this week has been identified as Siddhesh Samant, 25, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Samant’s death was ruled an accident.
A witness on the shore saw Samant about 5:15 p.m. near Katie’s Woods boat ramp, on the southeastern side of the lake, Grapevine fire Chief Darrell Brown said.
Brown said someone called 911 to report a possible body in the lake at approximately 5 p.m.
Fire Department divers from the Fire Department recovered the body about 50 yards offshore Wednesday evening.
Grapevine police, Flower Mound Fire Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife assisted with the recovery. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office responded and took custody of the body.
