Texas murder suicide: Vonnie Le Bui identified as mother who killed son, James Nguyen and Virginia Minh Trang Luu
Police in Meadows Place, Texas stated that a mom shot a female and male victim at a Meadows Place home before turning the gun on herself Tuesday, identifying the woman and her two victims.
Virginia Minh Trang Luu, 25, and James Thien Nguyen, 16, each died of a gunshot wound to the head, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Authorities said they believe Vonnie Le Bui, 44, killed the two younger victims and then shot herself in the head.
There was a toddler and a baby at the home at the time, but they were unharmed, police say.
Police responded to the incident after a male caller, who said he was returning to his home, called 911 around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday to report finding his wife, younger brother and mother dead.
James was a student at Kempner High School. Read the full statement released by the school’s principal.
A local church, Sugar Grove Church of Christ, plans to hold a prayer vigil Thursday evening, according to a Facebook event posted online. Doors were scheduled to open at 6 p.m.

We are saddened to report that one of our eleventh-grade students died yesterday. Our hearts are extremely heavy with the news of this loss, and we ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Our counselors, District crisis personnel and KHS staff will work closely with our students who may need to talk, and you may also want to discuss this sad news with your student. Out of respect for the family and due to the active police investigation surrounding this tragedy, we are unable to share any further information.

Thursday at 6:30 p.m., Sugar Grove Church of Christ will hold a prayer vigil and encourages all to attend.
