Ted Nugent tells Piers Morgan he’s ‘full of crap’ and ‘obsessed with guns’ asks why he won’t leave ‘us’ alone VIDEO
A heated exchange took place Monday on Piers Morgan Tonight and on Tuesday CNN posted a one-minute clip as Ted Nugent and Morgan went head-to-head on the gun control in America.
Morgan’s show originated Monday from a Texas gun store, and Morgan showed video of himself shooting the sort of rifle that he says the U.S. government should ban, the one he said was used in the Dark Knight Rises shooting in Colorado last year.
“It was an exciting experience,” he told Nugent before rolling the video of him shooting the AR-15 rifle.
Nugent told Morgan he has been “monitoring your gun debates. Go ahead and take it to the bank, you will never understand.”
When Morgan tries telling Nugent how many Americans are hit by gunfire each year, Nugent says: “Let me stop you there, because I’ve been hearing you say this and you are so full of crap!”
Asks Nugent: “Do you care about murders, or do you only care about murders with guns?”
“I care about all death,” Morgan responds.
“I don’t think you do,” says Nugent. “I think you care about guns. You’re obsessed with guns.”
Nugent tells Morgan that “99.99 percent of the gun owners of America are wonderful people … perfectly safe, perfectly harmless, wonderful, loving, generous, giving, caring people. Would you leave us the hell alone?”
“I won’t leave you alone because it’s a debate that has to be had,” Morgan tells Nugent.
“We appreciate that,” says Nugent, “because you’re the perfect poster boy to stand up for the things that make no sense at all to common-sense people.”
