Suicide bombings at Nigerian churches kill 11, injure 30

11 are reported dead and 30 injured after a pair of car bombs hit a Protestant church in Nigeria this weekend.

A bus full of explosives rammed into St. Andrew Military Protestant Church in Jaji, in the Kaduna state, around lunchtime, Brig. General Bola Koleoso told the press.

Shortly after, a Toyota Camry parked outside the church exploded as people fled from the firsts blast, Koleoso added.

Boko Haram has not officially taken responsibility for the violence, but the military institutions and churches in the area are targets of the Islamic hardliners.

To add further speculation that the terrorist group is responsible, a military task force announced Friday a $1.8 million reward for information leading to the arrest of top Boko Haram members.

One month ago a pair of explosions occurred at another church in Kaduna, about 25 miles from Jaji.
