Steve Siedlecki, Exec Dir ‘A Christmas Story House & Museum’ discusses the attraction, history and anniversary
2013 marks the 30th anniversary of the film A Christmas Story. In Cleveland, Ohio, where the production took place, rests the fully restored house, open to the public.
Executive Director of A Christmas Story House & Museum spoke with The Global Dispatch’s Brandon Jones about the amazing history, transformation and tribute to this classic film. Below is a photo of the final, restored look of the home.
Steve Siedlecki chronicles the purchase of the home, the plans to renovate and restore the house. Now the three buildings reflect approximately $1 million of changes and upgrades to create the amazing experience.
30,000 to 40,000 annual guests keeps the Christmas Story House which is supplemented by different events, like the 5K run or the Mrs. Parker’s Little Piggies Luncheon.
Growing up in the area Siedlecki reflected on the street, his love for the history and the opening scene of the film which captures his home on camera.
