‘Star Wars Episode VII’ casting rumors: Han Solo has big role, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver lead cast
Han Solo will have an important role in the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII according to the latest rumors.
According to Deadline, Harrison Ford’s iconic hero will have a “gigantic” presence in the first of the next three sequels.
Their report gives fans the latest in casting rumors: “Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac is in line for a major role, as is Adam Driver and Attack the Block’s John Boyega, both of whom have been rumored. There is also a young girl, and that might be Maisie Richardson-Sellers, an Oxford-trained actress whose casting has been rumored in recent weeks.”
The new cast members will join returning Star Wars stars Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Peter Mayhew.
The Internet is bursting with rumors and speculation, especially headed into May 4…May Fourth…May the Fourth be with you….a special day for fans. Of course, SDCC is also looming, so more news may be set for then.
Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn revealed on April 2 that the new Star Wars had already begun filming and most of the cast was set. “We have a lot of them [in place],” he said about the main actors, whose names have not been disclosed. “We’re just not completely done yet.”
Star Wars Episode VII is set for theaters December 19, 2015.
However, this has yet to be confirmed by Disney.
