A Star Wars laser tag arena (sponsored by Hard Knocks) hosted challenge after challenge of junior fans targeting one another with laser guns, hiding behind makeshift barriers and cheering when victorious. One of the events that took center stage was the Jedi Training Academy allowing kids to undergo lightsaber training from a “Master,” and then face the Dark Side. With the Empire’s Theme blaring, Stormtroopers force the kids to one side of the stage and one-by-one they duel Darth Vader.
Star Wars cosplay plays a significant role in the convention. Kids dressed up and posing with others is certain be exciting for the children. A full body, “to scale” Stormtrooper uniform, a homemade Royal Guard costume and a detailed Cad Bane costume, were all some of the highlights worn by kids at the event.
