As further fallout from the death of Paul Walker comes Agent 47 news.

star-trek-into-darkness zachary Quinto SpockDeadline reports that Zachary Quinto (Star Trek Into Darkness, Heroes) has been cast alongside Rupert Friend (Homeland) in the film.

Agent 47 is the project that previously was cast with Paul Walker in the lead. After the actor died tragically in a car crash, the project was postponed from its initial February start date and then recast.

Friend stars as Peter Quinn on Homeland and came aboard to replace Walker earlier this month.

The film will be directed by Aleksander Bach from a script by Skip Woods and Michael Finch.

Hitman starred Timothy Olyphant (Justified) and Dougray Scott in 2007, earning nearly $100 million worldwide.

In addition to his role as Spock in the Star Trek franchise, Quinto just earned an Emmy nomination for his role on American Horror Story.

The project will now go before the cameras in March.

Agent 47 is the fictional main character from the DC Comics franchise brought to the big screen by Fox International Productions.
