‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ star Chris Pine set for ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ coming in 2014

Warner Bros. wanted Chris Pine to play one of the horrible bosses in Horrible Bosses 2 and news comes that the deal is done.

Chris Pine as Captain Kirk Star Trek Into DarknessAccording to Variety in an Oct. 14 article, Pine will play “half of a father-son duo who steal the main characters’ idea for a new invention.”

WB reached out to Django Unchained star Christoph Waltz to play Pine’s father, but a scheduling conflict will likely prevent Waltz from taking the role.

Pine stars as James T. Kirk in the Paramount reboot of the popular Star Trek franchise and will play Jack Ryan in a reboot of the Tom Clancy series beginning this Christmas in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recuit.

Jason BatemanCharlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis will return for the sequel to the 2011 surprise hit about three men who conspire to kill each other’s unbearable employers. 

After Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon dropped out, Sean Anders (We’re the Millers) stepped in. 

Horrible Bosses 2 opens November 26, 2014.
