Stacey Dash targets Planned Parenthood: ‘stop targeting black women and aborting our children’
Actress and Fox TV commentator Stacey Dash ventured into the Planned Parenthood discussion by accusing the nation’s largest abortion provider of preying on poor Black women and unborn babies.
On her blog at Patheos.com, the Clueless star wrote: “I am so sick of hearing Planned Parenthood and their abortion allies on the Left claim to be pro-women and pro-minorities. The facts just don’t back up their boasts. If you are so pro African American communities, Planned Parenthood, stop targeting black women and aborting our children…”
“If you care so much why don’t you start actually empowering women to love and care for their children no matter the circumstances they find themselves in. If you truly believe in African Americans, then start telling them they do have the power and ability to take care of their children and raise them instead of pressuring them to kill them in the womb.”
“Your bottom line is not worth the blood on your hands!”
Dash starred alongside Alicia Silverstone in the 1995 hit comedy Clueless and became a regular film and TV personality, with appearances on CSI before she began appearing on Fox News as an analyst.
In 2012 she announced to her Twitter following she was switching her vote from Barack Obama to Mitt Romney “based on the content of his character not the color of his skin.”
She reportedly received death threats as a result but also a supportive telephone call from Romney’s running mate, Paul Ryan.
Dash responded earlier this week to Planned Parenthood’s recent press conference boasting of its services to Black American women. “But as I have written about before,” responded Dash, “their ‘vital’ work actually means they are aborting a disproportionate number of black babies and profiting from charging their mothers for the abortion and then selling their body parts.”
Dash cited reports that Planned Parenthood locates a disproportionate number of its abortion facilities in Black neighbourhoods because that is where there is money to be made. The abortion rate among Black women is triple that among white women.
Planned Parenthood does have roots in eugenics with a racist bent (Margaret Sanger) and have come under attack from other quarters recently.
