‘Spider-Man Homecoming’ follow-up with Tom Holland set for 2019
Tom Holland was introduced as the new Spidey in Civil War, turning out to be highlight in the film. The first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live and jazzed up the fan base, excited to see the webhead back.
Hollard reportedly signed a six-picture deal with three solo films and three appearances in other films, likely the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
In Homecoming, Hollard’s superhero squares off against Michael Keaton’s Vulture, a bitter, menacing figure who threatens to murder anyone Peter cares about if he doesn’t back off from stopping the Vulture’s schemes. Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) appears in the trailer as a mentor with a brief cameo as Iron Man.
The new film stars Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Director Jon Watts is taking over the franchise as Marvel will be involved with this project on a co-production role with Sony.
