South Tampa man, Keith Lukas, harasses sheriff department logging in nearly 3,000 calls
A Hillsborough County man was pleaded no contest in a Hillsborough County (FL) Court and was sentenced to probation following making a number of harassing phone calls to the non-emergency line.
43-year-old South Tampa man, Keith Lukas, called the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office a whopping 2,927 times over a seven month period.
According to sheriff’s officials, Lucas would call to complain that he was not satisfied how he was treated in the past by HCSO and would use vulgar language and belittle the dispatchers.
The calls would continue until he hangs up or until the dispatchers would hang up after determining there was no need for police or medical assistance. Lucas would often call back multiple times one after another and often would just ramble or continue to be abusive.
As part of his probation, Lukas cannot contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office unless he has a legitimate need for law enforcement or medical services.
