South Carolina police arrest Jacob Patton for gun charges, still searching for Tymaine English-Smith
Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina announced they have arrested Jacob Patton on six outstanding warrants, four of which are attempted murder counts.
Patton, 20, faces charges related to a drive by shooting in early October at the Quail Pointe apartments on E. Blackstock Rd. He also faces at least one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and another for a breach of peace.
Lt. William Gary explained that “A lot of the stolen guns come from car break-ins. Once again we would like to ask citizens of Spartanburg County and visitors of Spartanburg County please don’t leave loaded weapons or weapons at all in your vehicle unattended. It will help reduce these weapons getting on the street illegally and being used in crimes like this and other crimes as well.”
One of the injured from incident, Trevion Anderson, 19, of Spartanburg, was arrested October 22 after a blood trail led officers to the injured man. Anderson remains in jail on attempted murder and weapons charges.
Lieutenant Kevin Bobo warned that a third suspect is still at large.
Deputies are actively trying to locate Tymaine English-Smith. Bobo says English-Smith should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information of his whereabouts is urged to call Sgt. Mark Gaddy at (864) 503-4680 or email [email protected]
