Sophia Ludzwiczak, shaken baby in Pittsburgh, passes away at hospital
Vandergrift, Pennsylvania has been shocked by the horrible story of a frustrated father shaking a baby, ultimately to death.
Matt Milisits was arrested after confessing that he shook his daughter when she wouldn’t stop crying. Now Sophia Ludzwiczak, only eight weeks old, passed away at the Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital on Tuesday.
“They tried resuscitating her in the ambulance and then they life-flighted her to the hospital and she went into cardiac arrest in the E.R.,” Samantha Ludwiczak the baby’s mother said.
“When he brought Sophia home he pulled the blanket off the car seat. She gasp…gasped for air, so I ran to call 911,” Lukwicsak told The Global Dispatch.
“He (Matt) said she was just crying and crying. She’s not even a crier (trails off),” the grieving mother added.
Christine Stasenko, a close family friend, is organizing a spaghetti dinner to raise funds for the family.

Sophia is an 8 week old baby girl who is suffering from Shaken Baby Syndrome and is in critical condition.
Proceeds from the benefit will go to her family.Tickets will be sold at the door for $8 a person
This will include spaghetti, salad, dinner roll and drink.Benefit will also include a bake sale and tickets will be sold for a Chinese Auction.
Stasenko added on Facebook that “A relief fund account has been set up at the Hillcrest branch of PNC Bank. Donations can be made at any PNC Bank in care of the Samantha Ludwiczak Fund.”
