‘Socialist’ Russell Brand joins hacker group Anonymous in ‘Million Mask March’
Russell Brand has joined protesters from hacker “activist” group Anonymous during their Million Mask March in London.
As part of a worldwide protest against corruption, austerity cuts and surveillance, the comedian tweeted a picture of himself and another protester wearing the group’s trademark masks.

This follows an appearance on Newsnight in which Brand expressed his belief in political revolution.
Brand also published an article in The Guardian yesterday arguing for change in the political system.
“The reality is there are alternatives,” he wrote. “I don’t mind getting my hands dirty because my hands are dirty already.”
The group, which has adopted the image of a smiling Guy Fawkes made famous by the film V for Vendetta, held Bonfire Night protests in central London that saw many of the masked demonstrators clash with police.
