Skeet Ulrich talks ’50 to 1,’ ”Lost in Austin,’ the legacy of ‘Scream’ and the love of ‘Jericho’

EXCLUSIVE: Skeet Ulrich will forever be linked to his role in Scream, but Ulrich is still incredibly busy with two features and a new pilot all in the works. 50 to 1, a “feel good” Cinderella story about the amazing Kentucky Derby victory by Mine That Bird in 2009.

Skeet Ulrich photoUlrich plays the horse trainer Chip Woolley and took time to talk about the film with The Global Dispatch/Dispatch Radio about 50 to 1, his next film Lost in Austin as well as some of his popular roles from his great resume.

“It’s a story full of heart,” Skeet says after summarizing the film. “I think it our day and age we are all looking for little something to pick us up.”

Praising co-star Christian Kane and director Jim Wilson, Ulrich discusses why the film should appeal to audiences.

Check out the movie trailer and the actual footage of Mine That Bird‘s victory below.

Skeet previews his next film, Lost in Austin which takes a stab at the reality show era, dysfunctional nature of our society.

Of course, fans will be pleased by Skeet’s thoughts on the legacy of Scream and our entertaining thoughts on Jericho.
