‘Sin City A Dame to Kill For’ moved back, delayed until 2014
Fans may be surprised to learn Sin City: A Dame to Kill For has been delayed until August 2014. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s comic book movie sequel was previously set to debut in October 2013.
The Weinsteins’ Dimension Films announced Monday that Sin City: A Dame to Kill For had been moved from October 4, 2013 to August 22, 2014.
While the movie currently has that new date all to itself, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dracula, and The Expendables 3 are all slated to open earlier that same month.
No reason has been given for the decision.
The movie will be based on two stories from the Dark Horse Comics series – ‘A Dame to Kill For’ and ‘Just Another Saturday Night’ – as well as two more original stories written by Miller for the project.
The Rodriguez-directed sequel, Machete Kills, will still come out this fall, scheduled for September 13. Miller’s other upcoming movie, 300: Rise of an Empire, is slotted for March 7, 2014.
Josh Brolin, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta, Juno Temple, Julia Garner and Stacy Keach will feature in the movie.
