Sol – The very centre of Madrid and Spain will all roads leading to Sol. If you want to be close to everything and like a lively atmosphere Sol is where you should be. It’s easy to find English speakers in this area of the city. Many people choose to live in Sol while they are learning about the city.

Chueca – Hosting an excellent market, Chueca is right in the centre of Madrid and is one of Madrid’s more cosmopolitan areas hosting a large gay area. Here you will find relaxed bars and fine dining only a short walk from the city centre.

Opera – The opera district is one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Madrid, it’s a quiet and middle class area with wide open spaces and good restaurants. It’s a very clean area and is very secure being around the corner from the royal palace. It’s very close to the centre and has a great range of short-term lets.

Moncloa – Moncloa is a cool student area not far from the city centre. Here there are many green spaces and events happening all the time. This is a lively area of the city and great if you are looking for somewhere more than just a place to sleep.

Madrid is a great city for short-term lets, you can find amazing places to stay all over the city. Don’t limit yourself to this list and do your own research on where is the best place for you. You can find excellent rents anywhere in Madrid, it pays to look.
