In a new interview with IGN star Guy Pearce confirmed interested in reprising his role as Peter Weyland. “I’d love to go back and play that character again…to work for Ridley again, you know, he’s great — really wonderful to work for. So yeah, I’m very curious to see what he will do next with it.”

The Iron Man 3 star says anyting is possible in science fiction.

“Based on my character’s request for immortality and then getting whacked in the head with Michael Fassbender’s head, uh… no. [Laughs] But I think it’s possible. I just think it may not be for Peter Weyland. I mean, who knows? When you look at science fiction and the ways in which you can cut the pie and things can develop — technologically speaking, etcetera — anything’s possible, really, isn’t it? Particularly with Ridley at the helm.”

Prometheus 2 is set to arrive in theaters on March 4, 2016.

Plot Summary via Coming Soon: Stars Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are both contracted to reprise their roles of David and Elizabeth Shaw, respectively. The original film, a quasi-prequel to Scott’s 1979 “Alien,” saw a team of scientists and explorers embarking on a journey to a distant world, where they discovered the answers to some of humanity’s most profound questions.

The Warner Bros slate of film may be getting the green lights, but a surprising rumor that Ben Afflect will get a solo film as the Caped Crusader.

According to Latino-Review, the Justice League film will begin shooting next year before its potential release date of May 2017. Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s director Zack Snyder is set to work on the untitled Justice League movie.

The Review mentioned that their unidentified sources said the title for the rumored Batman film, which Affleck would star and direct in, is currently titled as The Batman. The alleged The Batman movie is rumored to be released on the big screen in 2019.

Confirming these rumors and speaking out at SDCC could really fuel some serious fan buzz.
