Senator Rand Paul ‘airs grievances’ in Twitter Festivus rant
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) took to Twitter today in a seven hour “airing of grievances” that would make Frank Costanza proud.

Starting around 9 am this morning, the junior Republican Senator from Kentucky let it all out, pulling no punches and nothing or no one was exempt, including his father, former Texas Congressman Ron Paul.
And when I say very little was exempt, I’m not joking–bipartisan deals, increasing government debt, the Senate, the Fed, the Senate cafeteria, his staff, ties, Turtle tunnels, Squirrel sanctuaries and Washington in general.
Festivus is parody holiday made popular from a 1997 Seinfeld episode that is celebrated on Dec. 23. The alternative to Christmas, a creation of Frank Costanza (Jerry Stiller) used an aluminum pole instead of a Christmas tree and in addition to the “airing of grievances”, where you let everyone know how they disappointed you, there is also the “feats of strength”.
New Jersey Senator Cory Booker didn’t forget the feats of strength as he tweeted:
“U, me & “feats of strength:” Senate floor, name the time MT @SenRandPaul A Festivus grievance re bipartisanship. Booker doesn’t RT me enough”
Ironically, Dr. Paul also warns about the government wanting to control Twitter on Twitter:
“Washington wants to control the internet. And probably twitter. Keep vigilant to keep your freedoms.”
