Sean Hannity reveals once again why he is a Republican tool

Radio and TV personality, Sean Hannity, demonstrates yet once again that he is just a Republican tool and mouthpiece and not the “conservative” he so often proclaims.

Hannity, the once HUGE promoter of the Patriot Act and sweeping NSA surveillance and wire tapping under the George W. Bush administration has now turned 180 degrees on these violations of the Fourth Amendment since the same shenanigans are being done under the Democratic Obama administration.

The website, Media Matters demonstrates Hannity’s hypocrisy best in a video they prepared.

Hannity is the same man that NEVER questioned the constitutionality of ANY of George Bush’s policies–in addition to the Patriot Act and NSA surveillance, the astronomically expensive Medicare prescription drug program, No child left behind and the multiple hijinks behind the Iraq invasion.

I never heard Hannity talk of the first, fourth, ninth and tenth amendments from 2000-2008; however, since Obama was first elected, the Constitution comes out of his mouth every other sentence. I once thought that wasn’t important to the radio talking head.

To be honest, it would be fantastic to have someone with the media presence of Sean Hannity to have converted into a “Constitutionalist”; however, it is a temporary fad for the showman until a Republican gets in office.

How people, particularly true conservatives, can handle this nauseating performance, totally behooves me.

Just a thought…

  4. Ryan says:

Sean Hannity doing a 360 degree turn around would mean he still fully supports domestic spying programs…

However, he has completely flip flopped on the issue, due to the fact that he can’t simply say, like an adult, that he may dislike the President, but he approves of how he is going about to keep America safe.

So, the proper saying would be that Hannity has done a complete 180 degree turn.

  5. CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON says:

THIS IS A NON-STORY. I ASSUME NO ONE HAS Sean Hannity UNDER TWENTY-FOUR-HOUR SURVEILLANCE. THIS TYPE OF LOGIC REPRESENTS THE EXACT REASON WHY Tea Party WILL NEVER GAIN A STRANGLEHOLD ON THE PUBLIC AND, LIBERTARIANISM IS SLOWLY GROWING.

IT SEEMS THE MEDIA HAS ACCUSED Mr. Hannity OF DOING THE SAME THING THE PUBLIC CLAIMS OVERALL MEDIA DOES – HAVE BIAS FAVORING A PARTICULAR POLITICAL IDEOLOGY. I GUARANTEE, IF A TELESCOPE WAS FOCUSED ON THE POPE, SOMEONE WOULD SAY THEY SAW SOME SLEAZE.

    • Robert Herriman says:

      CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON,
I believe it is very important because you should have something solid that forms your political philosophy, not just party loyalty. Particularly, in the case of Hannity, where millions actually pay attention to what he says (I don’t get it). Hannity will prove to be just a “big government” Republican when another person with an (R) behind there name is domiciled on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

      • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON says:

HELLO, Robert Herriman! THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME IN DISCUSSION. NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU, SIR.

Mr. Herriman, SIR, I CAN NOT LET YOU SLIDE WITH, “Hannity will prove to be just a “big government” Republican … ;” Mr. Herriman, IN THE PAST, THE “PARTY APPARATUS” DEPENDED ON “‘big government’ Republicans” TO WIN ELECTIONS. REPUBLICANS HAVE SOLE BLAME FOR NOMINATING WEAKLINGS LIKE, Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA). IF Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) HAD BEEN THE NOMINEE, I WOULD NOT HAVE VOTED FOR THE LIBERTARIAN [Governor Gary Johnson]. AFTER THE NOVEMBER 2012 ELECTION I SAW THE PRESS CONFERENCE PRESENTED BY Brent Bozell AND HIS COALITION. Mr. Bozell PUBLICALLY BLAMED SPECIFIC REPUBLICANS (LIKE, U.S. Rep. John Boehner [R-OH]) FOR THE DEBACLE AND PLEDGED HIS COALITION WILL NEVER SUPPORT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT SATISFY HIS COALITION’S GUIDELINES.

SO, Mr. Herriman, CONSERVATIVES ARE STILL PLAYING THIS “BLAME GAME” AND ARE TAKING THE WRONG APPROACH BY PLAYING “victim” IN THIS Internal Revenue Service/Tea Party SMOKESCREEN.

Tea Party REFUSES TO REALIZE THE PRACTICE OF RELIGION IS NO LONGER A DESIRABLE EXERCISE IN THIS NATION – THAT IS WHY THINGS LIKE LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA HAS OCCURED IN COLORADO AND WASHINGTON-STATE.

        • Robert Herriman says:

          CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON,
You are really all over the place with your points.

The point of the Hannity opinion piece is simply that despite the same constitutional violations of both GWB and BHO,Mr. Hannity will support the same practices with one and not the other simply because of party affiliation. In other words, Mr. Hannity has no core constitutional principles. I believe this is crystal clear.

” REPUBLICANS HAVE SOLE BLAME FOR NOMINATING WEAKLINGS LIKE, Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA). IF Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) HAD BEEN THE NOMINEE, I WOULD NOT HAVE VOTED FOR THE LIBERTARIAN [Governor Gary Johnson]. ”

Is there a “real” difference between Romney and Santorum? Naw.

Rick Santorum over Gary Johnson? It appears you are unsure of of your own political philosophy based on that statement.

I could go on with the remainder of your comment,; however, as with most of your comments, you rarely address the point of the article and they are rarely lucid.

          Just an observation.

          • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON says:

            Robert Herriman,

MY PARENTS WERE BORN DURING THE 1930s IN RURAL NORTHERN-MISSISSIPPI. AS INDIVIDUALS, MY PARENTS WERE FINANCIALLY COMFORTABLE BEFORE MARRIAGE. I WAS RAISED IN THE NEGRO MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH. [I became atheist when I was eighteen]. BEFORE MY BIRTH IN 1966 AND UP TO WHEN I WAS ABOUT EIGHTEEN MONTHS, MY FATHER WAS A SEMI-PROFESSIONAL GOSPEL SINGER – THAT IS WHY I AM A MUSICIAN. YET, DURING MY CHILDHOOD, I NEVER FELT COMFORTABLE WITH THE CONCEPT OF DEITIES. SO, BECAUSE OF MUSIC, I TRANSFERRED MY INTERESTS TO EUROPEAN SACRED MUSIC BECAUSE CATHOLICISM HAS NO RECOGNIZABLE STANDING TO NEGROES IN REFERENCE TO SLAVERY/”Jim Crow.” [Negroes believe a “middle man” is not needed – all you have to do (according to them) is get on your knees and pray directly to the “Lord”]. MY PARENTS ARE DEMOCRATS BECAUSE THEY “FEEL” AN “OLD WORLD-” NEED TO CARE ABOUT THEIR “brothers and sisters” WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE. INDEED, OUR FARMLAND WAS ADJACENT TO POOR NEGROES. [At that time, black-on-black crime was not a problem]. BUT, I DID NOT TAKE THAT ROAD; I FULLY EMBRACED REPUBLICANISM WHEN I VOTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 1992 [President George Herbert Walker Bush] BECAUSE I AM NO ONE’S “victim” – I AM A HIGHLY INTELLIGENT NEGRO MALE WHO IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY SUCCESSES/FAILURES.

SO, Mr. Herriman, THE REASON WHY IT SEEMS I DO NOT KNOW MY POLITICAL MIND [LIBERTARIANISM-vs-REPUBLICANISM] IS BECAUSE I AM A NEGRO MALE WHO IS JUDGED IN PUBLIC – AND, I AM ATHEIST AND HOMOSEXUAL. DURING Governor Gary Johnson’s SO-CALLED DEBATES WITH Dr. Jill Stein,MD, HE “SPOKE” TO PEOPLE LIKE, ME. THAT IS, PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT “DOWN-AND-OUT,” BUT, CAN NOT “STOMACH” THE RELIGIOUS FANATICISM WHICH CONTROLS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY BECAUSE WE ARE HOMOSEXUAL, OR, SOME OTHER “perversion” WHICH THE CHURCH HAS LABELED UNWORTHY.

Mr. Herriman, SIR, THIS IS WHY I WILL NOT RIDICULE Sean Hannity; I DO NOT KNOW Mr. Hannity’s heart. RELIGIOUS CONSERVATIVES [LIKE, Tea Party] WANT TO CONTROL THE DEBATE BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOUNG PEOPLE VIEW RELIGION AS A PRIVATE MATTER FOR THOSE WHO VALUE IT – OR, AS A HINDRANCE TO THEIR SOCIO-ECONOMIC WELL-BEING.

IN OTHER WORDS, THERE IS NO CONTRADICTION/CONFUSION IN REFERENCE TO MY POLITICAL IDEOLOGY. CAUCASIAN CONSERVATIVES NEED TO FIGURE-OUT W-H-Y THEY DID NOT TRUST Herman Cain AND OTHERS LIKE, HIM. Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) AND Marco Rubio (R-FL) WILL NOT “FLY” BECAUSE CAUCASIANS HAVE CREATED SOME TYPE OF ASSIMILATION FOR THEM WITHOUT CONSIDERING NEGROES – THE ONLY MINORITY GROUP WHO MATTERS AT THIS TIME. [A great cultural example is the confusion surrounding George Zimmerman’s “ethnicity”].

            CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

          • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON says:

            Robert Herriman,

SIR, I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT YOUR LAST POINT. I DO NOT KNOW IF I SHOULD SAY YOU TYPED LIKE A JOURNALIST OR A “Tea-Partier.” A REASON WHY AMERICAN POLITICAL-DISCOURSE IS SO “MESSED-UP” IS BECAUSE ONE GROUP [CAUCASIANS] BELIEVE THEY SPEAK FOR ALL CITIZENS. YES – WHEN I MAKE COMMENTARY, I RESPOND TO THE ARTICLE; BUT, NOT IN THE WAY CAUCASIANS THINK IS APPROPRIATE. FOR EXAMPLE, I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH The Tsarnaev Brothers BECAUSE WHEN I LOOK AT THEM I SEE White skin; IT IS NOT FAIR FOR CAUCASIANS TO WANT COLORED AMERICANS TO BE “KEEPERS” OF THEIR BIASES. AND, YES, I TYPE A LOT ABOUT MY HOMOSEXUALITY; LIKEWISE, IT IS NOT FAIR FOR “Bible-thumpers” TO WANT TO LABEL HOMOSEXUALS AS, “deviants,” THEN, SEEM “DUMB-FOUNDED” WHEN TRYING TO UNDERSTAND WHY CONSERVATIVES CAN NOT WIN ELECTIONS.

Mr. Herriman, PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND OTHERS ON THIS SITE NEED TO BE EXPOSED TO PEOPLE LIKE ME – THAT IS, IF YOU WANT THIS NATION TO REMAIN PEACEFUL AND NOT BURST INTO VIOLENT CHAOS; WHICH WILL COME, BUT, HOPEFULLY NOT IN OUR LIFETIME. [If you read attentively, Mr. Herriman, you will realize my commentary is consistent with article topics – but, not the typical “Americana jive”].

            CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

          • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON says:

            Robert Herriman,

SIR, YOUR “Tea-Partyism” IS SHINING THROUGH.

YOU TYPED THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Romney AND Santorum. YOU ARE TRYING TO CHANGE THE DEBATE AFTER THE DEBATE IS OVER. DURING EVERY PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION-CYCLE, RELIGIOUS CONSERVATIVES WANT TO ENSURE THERE ISSUES ARE “ON THE TABLE” – Santorum WAS THEIR GUY. POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS THE REASON WHY Romney’s Mormonism WAS “HUSH-HUSH” [most Americans consider Mormonism to be a strange cult of sex-starved polygamists – look at Warren Jetts ….. why is HE in prison?].

MY POINT IS Mr. Herriman, IT IS SILLY FOR YOU TO IMPLY Romney’s AND Santorum’s policies ARE SIMILAR WHEN THE ISSUE OF PRIMARY CONCERN WAS THEIR RELIGIOUS VALUES AND THE IMPACT THOSE VALUES WOULD HAVE ON THEIR VIABILITY AS THE NOMINEE.
