SDCC: ‘Batman v Superman’ trailer reveals more plot details, Jesse Eisenberg, Wonder Woman in action
A crazed and manipulative Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg and the first look at Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in action were just two of the highlights in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The convention Hall H was packed as Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder’s epic adaptation of DC Comics’ two biggest heroes goes head-to-head was truly revealed in a new and thrilling trailer.
Reeling from the fallout of the Man of Steel battle between Superman (Henry Cavill) and General Zod (Michael Shannon), Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) is seen racing into the debris field of a collapsing building while the US government is skeptical of Superman.
Superman is encouraged by Ma Kent, “People hate what they don’t understand,” as he returns to saving people and then faces the Batman. Plenty of action and teases with Lex Luthor pulling more of the strings than anyone will realize. Jeremy Irons as Alfred offers words of wisdom: “He is not our enemy!”
Tao Okamoto’s role is revealed while delivering the “remains” of Zod. Check out the pic below.
All of this sets up the Justice League. The script for Justice League: Part One by Argo writer Chris Terrio is already finished, and production will begin sometime next year to meet the November 10th, 2017 release date.
Also cast for Batman v Superman Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Callan Mulvey, Ray Fisher, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Scoot McNairy, Jena Malone and TJ Norris.
