SDCC 2016: New ‘Doctor Strange’ trailer reveals more magic and Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius
Hall H at the San Diego Comic Con became a frenzied sea of fanboys as Benedict Cumberbatch talked Doctor Strange and introduced a new trailer. Check it out below. SDCC also debuted a new poster for the new Marvel film, see it at the bottom.
Fans immediately say “it looks even more dark and magical than we imagined.”
The new trailer is all about Doctor Strange learning how to use his powers. He walks through mirrors, shoots sparks and fire from his hands, and puts on that long red cape and then heads off for battle.
The trailer also provides a better look at Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius, check out the reptilian eyes. Chiwetel Ejiofor is also introduced as Baron Mordo, but doesn’t appear to the supervillain key in the comic books. Check out the full synopsis below.
Cumberbatch will also be joined by Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Tilda Swinton, Scott Adkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Amy Landecker.
Doctor Strange arrives in theaters on November 4, 2016.

Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
