SDCC 2015: ‘Suicide Squad’ trailer reveals plot, dark character and Jared Leto’s Joker
Warner Bros wowed the fans as San Diego Comic-con with the first Suicide Squad trailer, a dark and edgy comic book adaptation by Fury director David Ayer. Check it out below.
“I have the worst of the worst”, a man tells Amanda Waller, played by Viola Davis, referring to the gallery of villains in prison and becomes this motley crew of a team.
A series of images center on Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
There is a quick reveal of a cloaked Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and Katana (Karen Fukuhara) swinging her swords before the big reveal — The Joker.
“I’m not gonna kill ya!”Jared Leto’s Joker says. “I’m just gonna hurt ya, really, really bad,” with an incredible insane look and a pair of jumper cables in his hands.
The teaser is a basic synopsis of the film, just offering enough of a look at each character and confirming the tone of the film to excite fans.
Suicide Squad also stars Scott Eastwood, Ike Barinholtz, Parrack, Adam Beach and Common. Ben Affleck as Batman will make an appearance.
Suicide Squad arrives in theaters on August 5, 2016.

I was too scared to go up and didn’t know who that person was, and when he got back into his makeup I was far more comfortable.” Directed and written by Ayer (Fury) and features an all-star cast which also includes Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola Davis, Adam Beach, Jay Hernandez, and Karen Fukahara.
