SDCC 2015: Final ‘Fantastic Four’ trailer reveals Doctor Doom, more backstory
From FOX comes the final trailer for their Fantastic Four film, a new reboot of the popular Marvel franchise. This “modern” new version stars a young cast: Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbell.
A deeper backstory and relationship between Reed (Teller) and Ben (Bell) plays into the deeper dynamic after their transformation and the guilt Reed bares.
Chronicle director Josh Trank helms the new film and fans get a great look at this version of Doctor Doom, played by Kebbell.
There is a lot of pressure to breathe life into the comic book franchise as Marvel continues to succeed and the DC Universe is expanding.
“I get the skepticism going into it because the previous movies weren’t very good,” says co-screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg of the 2005 and 2007 versions to EW. “It’s a very hard title to crack.”
Actress Shauna Rappold talked with the Dispatch about her role in the film and working with Trank, listen to what she had to say HERE
The film also stars Reg E. Cathey, Chet Hanks, Don Yesso, Aaron V Williamson and Tim Blake Nelson.
Fantastic Four arrives in theaters on August 7, 2015.
