SDCC 2014: ‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 clip, news, Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie
San Diego Comic Con proved to be a venue for Sleepy Hollow fans, who were already jacked after the debut of the “War is Coming” Headless Horseman poster. Stars Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie were featured in a clip shared with the SDCC fans.
“Thomas Jefferson once said banking establishments are even more dangerous than standing armies,” Ichabod tells Abbie when they first step foot in the bank in the clip. The humor plays well as he is shocked by the concept of a credit card.
“These people entrust you with their fortune, yet you cannot entrust them with a simple inkwell?” Check out the full clip over at THR.
Fans shouldn’t worry or read too much into the scene, Roberto Orci promises season 2 will be more scary, but will keep the humor. “I think that is fair to say—but without losing its humor. Some of the best humor comes out of being scared,” Orci told EW in their July 28 interview.
There was a ton of fun and news from the SDCC Comic-Con panel: Season 2 has a two year time jump, there is a new sheriff which makes the Abbie/Ichabod teamups a bit more challenging, Abbie’s link to Headless gets strange and Ichabod has been watching Glee.
John Noble will play even more evil, or as he says “a really interesting malevolent character” and Katia Winter hopes we (the fans) don’t “hate her” too much after season 2. Benjamin Franklin will be back and hopefully not naked after an odd story by Mison.
Orci previewed the new charcter Nick Hawley, saying that he “is an antiquities dealer in the way that Indiana Jones was. But our guy’s a little bit more of a mercenary. He’s been around the world uncovering artifacts, and he’s not a particularly superstitious person. He does it for the money—more of a Han Solo…”
Neil Jackson is confirmed back as Abraham which Mison says is key to the new season. Fans should expect there to be “more flashbacks, exploring the core of the characters and expanding the world of Sleepy Hollow. There will be new characters coming in exposing new problems.”
Sakina Jaffrey (House of Cards) and One Tree Hill alum Matt Barr have joined the cast as well. Jeffrey will play Leena Reyes, a former U.S. Border Patrol officer in Texas who returns to Sleepy Hollow as the new Sheriff.
Sleepy Hollow premieres Sept. 22 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
