Scott Todd talks Compassion International, global poverty and his new book ‘Hope Rising’

Scott ToddThe recent global poverty survey by Compassion International revealed some shocking news: most Americans don’t believe global poverty is improving and don’t believe it can be completely overcome.

Scott Todd, from Compassion, spoke with The Global Dispatch/Dispatch Radio about the new data, survey criteria and what the future actually looks like. Todd was direct in noting vast improvements since the 1980’s to now, nicknamed the shocking infomercials of that generation as “poverty pornography.”

Todd then detailed his new book on the topic, “Hope Rising”, and began to lay out facts that refocus the argument towards a solution and not just excuses.
