Saudi Arabia MERS coronavirus case count now at 114

The number of people reported from Saudi Arabia confirmed positive for the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) has reached 114 cases after the Saudi Health Ministry (MOH) announced six additional recently.

On Sept. 18, the MOH reported three new cases. According to the media statement, the details of the cases are as follows:

The first case is for a 75-year-old female citizen in Madinah, who was in contact with a confirmed case of this virus, and she had been suffering some chronic diseases. She later died from the illness.

The second case is for a 35-year-old male citizen in Madinah, who was in contact with a confirmed case of this virus, and he has been suffering some chronic diseases. He is currently  at the ICU, receiving the proper treatment.

The third case is for a 83-year-old male citizen in Riyadh, who he had been suffering some chronic diseases. This case also passed away.

On Sept. 27, the MOH announced three additional cases, all from Riyadh.

The first case is for a 87-year-old female citizen, who has been suffering some chronic diseases. She is currently at the ICU, receiving the proper treatment.

The second case is for a 53-year-old female citizen, who also has been suffering some health diseases, and still at the ICU, receiving the proper treatment.

The third case is for a 63-year-old male citizen, who has been suffering some chronic diseases, and still at the ICU, receiving the proper treatment.

According to the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health Novel coronavirus page, the number of MERS cases and fatalities in the Kingdom now stand at 114 and 49, respectively.
