Sarah Palin for Senate in 2014?
Former Alaska Gov. and Vice-Presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, says she has “considered” running for the U.S. Senate seat held by Democratic Sen. Mark Begich but she would like to see new candidates enter the race.
Sarah Palin made these statements on Sean Hannity’s radio show.
Palin told Hannity the Republican party needs “new blood, new energy” in Congress. Hannity asked Palin if she might be one part of that. Palin told him she is considering a Senate run after hearing from people “requesting me to consider it.”
She said, “Any American with a heart for service has to always have in the back of their mind that they would do anything, everything that they could to help the cause.”
However, Jim Geraghty of the National Review said on CNN, “Notice this is not hiring staff, this is not any of the stuff a real run would involve. It’s just an idol comment to Hannity.”
In other words, don’t take it too seriously.
Alaska Republicans have two candidates so far for the 2014 race: Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and Joe Miller. Miller won the 2010 GOP primary against Sen. Lisa Murkowski only to lose to her in the general election as she mounted a historic write-in campaign.
She is currently serving as a paid commentator for the Fox News Channel.
Tease away Sarah… what a political peep show! Since she quit her post in Alaska, Palin hasn’t run for public office but still plays the part of politician who calls her constituents “fans.” What exactly does she do other than essentially proposition her self and image to the highest bidder? Sounds like Sarah is America’s highest paid escort! See how down and dirty she’ll get for the money at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/06/ecstasy-of-sarah-palin_15.html
