San Antonio murder suicide: Alexander Hyde identified as shooter, killing his sisters Delma Lou Pereida and Cassandra Pereida
A family dispute led to the shooting deaths of two sisters and the apparent suicide of their attacker in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday. Now the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the shooter as Alexander Hyde and the two sisters as Delma Lou Ann Pereida and Cassandra Ann Pereida.
SAPD spokesman Officer Douglas Greene explained police responded to a neighbor’s 911 call after hearing shots fired and a second caller who led police to the home. Greene said that caller had been talking to one of the victims via social media when the shooting occurred.
Greene says police found Hyde, 19, dead from a self-inflicted wound and the two dead teen girl alongside of an injured woman, 52, in the home in the 10300 block of Cone Hill.
The woman was shot in both arms and lost a lot of blood, Greene said. She was taken to University Hospital, where she remained in critical condition Wednesday.
A family member said Wednesday evening that the woman was in her second surgery.
Delma Lou Ann Pereida, 19, was found with a shotgun wound to the head and neck. Cassandra, 17, had a shotgun wound to her torso, according to the medical examiner.
Investigators said that Hyde came to the home unannounced Tuesday and shot all three women before turning the gun on himself.
“There had been a recent family argument which caused the suspect to become disgruntled over the last few days.”
