Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon praise ‘Man of Steel’ star Henry Cavill, watch featurette

The Superman reboot, Man of Steel, has fans crazed with director Zack Snyder teaming with Tudors star Henry Cavill to energize the franchise. Co-stars Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon talked about the film with eTalk and praised the leading man.

Russell Crowe Jor-El baby Superman photo “I was very impressed with him on a daily basis, his discipline, his commitment. He is quite frankly the highest caliber actor to ever actually play this role,” the Gladiator said.

Crowe plays Superman’s Kryptonian Jor-El as the hero will battle General Zod, played by Boardwalk Empire star Michael Shannon.

“He works his butt off and he never complained once about anything. I don’t think anybody would have worked harder. I don’t think it’s possible”.
