Rush Limbaugh claims Fox News censored him on immigration reform damaging the GOP
Rush Limbaugh visited Fox & Friends this week and while he couldn’t have sounded happier with his appearance, later during his radio show, he took to his own airwaves to say that Fox News wouldn’t let him discuss what he wanted to discuss, immigration and the GOP.
“I told the people at Fox, I wanted to talk about this today three or four times,” Limbaugh said of damage to the GOP’s role in the immigration reform bill. “And they wouldn’t do it. They were not interested in bringing this subject up.”
Most of the conversation during Limbaugh’s rare television appearance, via phone, was about the chaos in Egypt, Obamacare and the GOP’s chances in the 2014 election.
“They asked me, ‘What do you want to talk about?’ I didn’t tell them I wanted to talk about Egypt. I didn’t want to talk about Egypt,” Limbaugh added. “The first thing out of my mouth: I want to talk about immigration and the state of the Republican Party. Wouldn’t go there. I had to bring it up myself.”
“And that, by the way, is quite telling,” he noted.
