Rodolfo Hernandez-Bey murder: Reynaldo Ocampo, Joseph Saleski and juvenile charged in death
Two Cicero men and a juvenile were charged with first degree murder in connection with the strangulation death of a Chicago man whose body was found near a dumpster burnt beyond recognition in November 2012, according to police officials.
Reynaldo Ocampo, age 21; Joseph Saleski, age 25 and a juvenile boy have been charged of kidnapping and killing 39-year-old Rodolfo Hernandez-Bey,, on November 6, 2012.
The three were ordered held without bail in a hearing today before Cook County Criminal Court Judge Donald Panarese.
The man (described as “burnt beyond recognition”) was found near the dumpster by the fire department crew.
He had been strangled, determined by an autopsy by the Cook County medical examiner’s office, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Police opened a death investigation in the following weeks of the incident and now have suspects in custody.
Police allege that Ocampo, Saleski and the juvenile kidnapped the victim for ransom and later killed him.
The shocking story has remained unsolved during this time with little information reaching the media.
