Rob Lowe tells Piers Morgan ‘America doesn’t want another Hollywood actor telling them anything about guns’ VIDEO
Actor Rob Lowe visited Piers Morgan‘s show Monday night and noted that although he was “no social anthropologist,” he believed “the last thing viewers want is another Hollywood actor telling them anything about guns – pro or con.”
Lowe criticized “shooter video games” and said he thought kids “growing up, blowing people away” isn’t “good.”
Morgan asked Lowe if he would have a “problem” if President Obama pushed for a ban on assault weapons. Lowe responded that although he likes guns, he wouldn’t mind a ban because he doesn’t want to own an assault rifle.
“I wouldn’t know why I’d want one,” he said.
He noted that if someone was a “law-abiding person,” having guns taken away which were purchased under the law might be problematic. “But if they don’t do that,” he said, “it’s not really a ban, is it?”
