Ridiculous LEFTIST statements from Redbook in the wake of an election
Redbook certainly has a leftist bent, most recently normalizing the concept of NOT congratulating their engaged friends or family because it’s not worthy of “an expression of praise for an achievement.”
No, Redbook, now littered with profanity, read like a pack of Bernie Sanders writers passing out safety pins during a Cornell “cry in.”
EXAMPLE ONE
“It’s hard enough explaining the horrible fact of terrorism to children, but it’s infinitely worse having to explain that the man who’s now in charge of our country encourages violence against the children they play with and uses terrorism as a smokescreen to justify his terrible behavior.” – Nov. 9 post.
Yep, Trump’s win is comparable terrorism.
#2: THE ECHO CHAMBER
From the same article: “I realized this morning that I never asked any of my friends who voted for Donald Trump why they voted for him. I was too involved with my own reasons for not voting for him. But my friends are good people and not ones to take this decision lightly. So that’s my plan today, to listen to their reasoning and their stories, to respect their opinions, and to try to understand them. And hopefully by better understanding what happened, I’ll have better answers for my kids.”
The clueless left has no idea why Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania switched from Obama in 2012 to Trump a week ago. They were truly “too involved” to see Hillary as a horrible candidate, corrupt to the core and now living in fear under the oppressive list of “-isms.”
INCREDIBLE INTOLERANCE
The title says it all: “My Family Refused to Support Hillary Clinton and I’m Not Sure I Can Forgive Them”
Not enough. The subtitle is “I love you, but you just f*cked over our country.”
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE ISMs
“I told myself that progressive change is inevitable, younger generations skew liberal, and, eventually, sexism, racism, and all the other deplorable forms of discrimination will die off with our elders. How could Trump pull off a victory in a world that’s brimming with diversity, one that’s embraced marriage equality and come to adore President Obama, our handsome black knight in shining armor?” – same post.
Those evil voters of the midwest and the “rust belt” must have gone sexist, racist and other deplorable terms.
