Rend Collective’s Gareth Gilkeson previews the Outcry tour with Hillsong, shows in Florida
Ahead of the Florida dates on the Outcry Tour, Rend Collective’s Gareth Gilkeson spoke with Dispatch Radio about the tour, worship music, playing with Hillsong and what fans can expect.
“What we’re excited about is there is so much going on in this nation right now. There’s a lot of fear and a lot of questions and one thing I love about Outcry is basically the local church getting together and lifting up the name of Jesus and praying for revival..” Gareth begins when discussing his excitement for the tour. Prayers to “heal our streets and heal our lands….I’m excited to do that with brothers and sisters….”
The 15-city OUTCRY: Summer 2016 Tour includes Hillsong Worship, Kari Jobe, Rend Collective, Housefires, Urban Rescue and Chad Veach.
Rend Collective is a perfect fit for this tour, saying of their new album As Family We Go: “…we belong to a larger family, and that family includes you. The children of God have always been a people on the move, driven by a mission and a purpose.
Gareth discusses the show, playing for around “twenty minutes” to “bring the celebration element to the night” and what he labeled “Cardio – worship” –Check out the full interview below.
