Rebecca Hall talks ‘Iron Man 3,’ the secrecy, humor and Robert Downey Jr
Rebecca Hall was at the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour over the weekend to promote her upcoming HBO miniseries “Parade’s End,” but “The Town” actress had to answer questions about this summer’s “Iron Man 3.”

IGN detailed her comments in a Monday post, focusing on how out of water the actress felt at first in a comic book film.
“It was so outside of my realm of experience. And that was my main reason for wanting to do it. I’m always for that. If you’re not going on an adventure and finding out something new, what’s the point, really? I mean I don’t do it for any other reason!”
When pressed for details Hall teased about the secrecy.
“I don’t think I’m allowed to say anything about it! I’m sworn to secrecy! No, It was great. It was a fantastic experience. I’m allowed to say that. But I can’t give you any more than that. I’d have to shoot you.”
After the production has wrapped, she reflected on the humor, fun and of course, Robert Downey Jr.
“Humor and improv and sparring with wits. That’s really big on an Iron Man set, for obvious reasons. It’s Downey Jr.’s forte. And that was so much fun for me.”
She’s playing Maya Hansen, from the Iron Man comic book story “Extremis”, but the film features the villain Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley.
“Iron Man 3” arrives in theaters May 3, 2013.
