‘Ray Donovan’ star Guy Burnet joins ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ remake
Guy Burnet (Ray Donovan) has signed on to Jacob’s Ladder, according to news from Deadline. Burnet will join Jesse Williams, Sleepy Hollow star Nicole Beharie and Michael Ealy for the new film.
Director David M. Rosenthal’s has been tapped for the re-imagining of the 1990 thriller which starred Tim Robbins.
“Burnet will star as Hoffman, a pharmacist at the Veteran’s Administration described as ‘smart, but chaotic’ who supplies Jacob with prescriptions,” Deadline added.
The LD Entertainment film has a script by Jeff Buhler and Sarah Thorp. Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon and Jennifer Monroe at LD Entertainment will produce alongside Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta of Gaeta/Rosenzweig Films.
Burnet will continue his recurring role on Amazon’s Hand of God, and will next appear in Zoe Cassavetes’ dramatic feature Day Out of Days and the German/English film production The Have-Nots.
The original Jacob’s Ladder film starred Tim Robbins, who played Jacob, a Vietnam veteran whose experiences prior to and during the war result in strange, fragmentary flashbacks and bizarre hallucinations that continue to haunt him. As his ordeal worsens, Jacob desperately attempts to figure out the truth.
