‘Psycho’ on the Big Screen: Better than Ever, screens again tonight

Experiencing Psycho, one of Hitchcock’s finest works, on the big screen is a once in a lifetime experience put on for the movie’s 55-year anniversary last weekend by Fathom Events. The film screens again tonight at theaters near you!

Experiencing the movie in theaters is incomparable to any other format, as the visual and audio definition allows for much greater detail to be admired in Hitchcock’s signature craftsmanship and creativity.

The director’s nuance, such as camera shake, set design, score, and character expressions, are only some of the great indulgences provided by the larger format.

As an added benefit, Turner Classic Movies and Fathom Events organized a intro and outro to the film, not only with interesting backstory to the film, but also to Hitchcock himself, explaining some of the director’s decision making and thought process, as well as a charming telling of the plot at the beginning of the movie.

Psycho remains timeless to this day, and even though Hitchcock’s classical style is hallmark of his decade, no aspect of suspense or twist is lost on the modern audience. Even the practical effects are perfectly executed and leave no trace of corniness that sometimes steers the modern audience away from classic movies.

Next screening:

Wednesday, September 23, 2015 2:00 p.m. local time and 7:00 p.m. local time.

Tickets for “TCM Presents: Psycho” can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com, or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in more than 550 movie theaters through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network. For a complete list of theater locations visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
