‘Prometheus’ star Sean Harris set to battle Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner in ‘Mission Impossible 5’
Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames may finally have a villain to battle in Mission: Impossible 5 as new reports point to British actor Sean Harris thought to be in discussions to play the film’s main antagonist.
“They are negotiating, though I’m being told don’t dress for it just yet. The Troika-repped British actor is best known for his work in The Borgias, and for such films as Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, 24 Hour Party People and Red Riding Trilogy,” the Deadline exclusive announced.
The fifth film in the franchise is already in production with Alec Baldwin (as head of the CIA) and Rebecca Ferguson ( a likely female interest) joining the cast for the new film. The filming is expect in London, Marrakesh, Rabat and Casablanca.

Paramount is banking on a resurgence in the franchise, with the last film, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, earning over $695 million worldwide. That was the biggest earning Cruise film of his career.
The new film will be directed by Chris McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) from a screenplay by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3).
The Untitled Mission Impossible film is set to arrive in theaters Christmas Day 2015.
