Priyanka Chopra’s new avatar for Pepsi campaign
PepsiCo India has roped in Priyanka Chopra and West Indies cricketer, Chris Gayle for their ongoing marketing campaign.
Talking about the unique combination of stars involved, PepsiCo India Senior Director – Marketing (Colas, Juices & Hydration), Homi Battiwalla said, “We have brought together two of the brightest stars from Bollywood and cricket in this film and are confident that the consumers will enjoy it,” he added.
Priyanka Chopra’s style for the campaign has been definitely over-the-top. The desi girl donned a spiritual look for the advertisement. Dressed in a loud and garish Manish Malhotra sari, the 30-year-old even teamed her look with a big tikka (vermilion mark) on her forehead, bangles and ethnic heavy jewelry.
“I have played a lot of different characters in my films but I haven’t played a spiritual diva yet! We had a lot of fun putting together this look. It’s extravagant but goes perfectly with the idea,” she said in a statement.
Excited about the ad film, she added: “It’s cheeky, it’s naughty and it captures the crazy kind of fan support for various teams.”
The new advertisement featuring Chopra and Gayle is scheduled to air on April 18.
