Pranked nurse, Jacintha Saldanha, was found hanged, left three suicide notes
The British nurse pranked by Australian radio DJs (DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian) during Kate Middleton’s hospital stay, reportedly hanged herself using a scarf, says authorities.
Jacintha Saldanha was found Friday by co-workers hanging from a wardrobe door at the hospital’s living quarters, a coroner’s court in London heard Thursday.
The nurse, who was married with two teenaged children, left three notes, two at the scene and a third with her belongings, Westminster Coroner’s Court heard.
The content of the notes was not disclosed.
There were also “some injuries to her wrist,” Detective Chief Inspector James Harman said.
While the reasons of Saldanha’s decision to commit suicide remain unclear, the DJ’s are the target of scathing attacks and calls for the pair to be fired, but were only suspended for now.
Although bosses at the hospital have said they will conduct internal inquiries, the nurse’s family – husband Benedict Barboza and children Junal, 17, and Lisha, 14 – “want to know everything”.
A CNN article targets the prank and the radio station, but omits any questions of those who may have harassed the nurse personally.
