Police confirm video of Kevin Spacey groping bus boy
The man who accused Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting him in Nantucket in 2016 apparently captured at least some of the alleged incident on video, Massachusetts state police said Wednesday.
The State Police report, which has been filed with a criminal complaint in Nantucket District Court, gives the first detailed account of Spacey’s alleged actions at The Club Car bar and restaurant two-and-a-half years ago. And it includes the first official statement that there is documentary evidence of Spacey touching the man.
The 59-year-old star of the House Of Cards series, who has won two Oscars, is due to be formally charged on Jan. 7 on the island of Nantucket with “indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 years of age.”
The Usual Suspects star was introduced to the 18-year-old son of former Boston news anchor Heather Unruh when the teen finished his busboy shift at local restaurant The Club Car, according to the report. At one point, Unruh’s son told Spacey he was 23 years old.
The victim first reported the crime to Nantucket Police in October of 2016, before several other allegations against Spacey had publicly surfaced. The teen captured video of the assault on Snapchat and sent it to his girlfriend, according to the report. She later told police that she saw Spacey touching her boyfriend’s pants on the video.
