Police breakup fight at Chuck E Cheese in Chicago with pepper spray, arrest 7
A brawl Saturday night at the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Matteson Illinois ended in a cloud of pepper spray and seven people arrested on charges ranging from disorderly conduct to battery, a Wednesday report states.
Police arrived to a 911 call to discover several adults screaming profanities and hurling chairs at one another in the dining room. Other parents and children were trying to flea the chaos, police said.
Witnesses told police that two children got into an argument which prompted their mothers to become confrontational and the scene escalated from there.
One man was bleeding at the scene, Lester Whisby, age 26, who was treated by paramedics then charged with reckless conduct, disorderly conduct, battery and resisting arrest.
No one else needed medical attention, police said.
Also charged with battery, resisting arrest, reckless conduct and disorderly conduct was Joe Lynch, age 27.
Charged with reckless conduct and disorderly conduct were Triesha Jackson, 21, and Tevin Johnson, 18, both from Oklahoma; Johnny Fleming, 18, Stephen Dyer, 31 and Leslie Whisby, 26, Chicago, police said.
Police are reviewing video footage of the incident.
